Author Information

The submission deadline passed on January 10, 2014. Thank you for submitting!

The following information is provided to assist authors in the preparation of their papers. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

Scope

A list of topics for the IEEE RFID 2014 can be found on the Call for Papers. Authors are required to select one of these topics during registration of the paper. Please contact the Technical Program Chair if you are unsure which topic to select.

Submission Procedure and Deadlines

The paper submission is done via EDAS. If you do not have an EDAS account yet, you will need to register first (free of charge).

–> EDAS PAPER SUBMISSION FORM <–

Select the track that best fits the topic of your paper and subsequently enter the required information. Once the paper is registered, you can upload the manuscript until the submission deadline (multiple times). Please make sure EDAS does not report any printing problems (e.g., “fonts not embedded”) during the upload and correct all reported errors.

If you have any questions on the submission procedure or if you need help, please contact the Program Chair at tpchair@ieee-rfid.org.

The final paper submission deadline is Dec 20, 2013, by 23:59  Anywhere-On-Earth (AOE) (11:59pm, GMT/UTC – 12). Please do not wait until the final deadline to upload your paper. Please note that due to a compressed timeline this year a paper extension is very unlikely (if not impossible).

Prior Work and Concurrent Submissions

IEEE RFID solicits original, unpublished work that is not under consideration elsewhere. Papers may contain no more than 25% of material from prior published work when it is required for explanation and/or background. The remainder of the paper must consist of new ideas, results, or guidelines. Do not simply supply filler information.

Multiple submissions and unreferenced re-use of prior work are considered scholarly misconduct by IEEE and will not be tolerated at IEEE RFID 2014. Contact the Technical Program Chair when in doubt about any overlap with prior work or in case parts of your paper have been submitted elsewhere.

Formatting Instructions

Submissions must be double-column in the IEEE manuscript template for conferences format and must not exceed 8 pages (in 10pt font). Only letter-sized PDF files with embedded fonts are accepted. We strongly recommend that you use the template provided by the IEEE.

Paper submissions have to be anonymized to facilitate a double blind review. Authors are encouraged to take care throughout the entire document not to reveal their identity or the identity of their institutions. Relevant references to an author’s previous research must NOT be suppressed but instead referenced in a neutral way.

Author Misconduct

The IEEE RFID series of conferences strives to provide their attendees and the community with up-to-date high-quality research. Consequently, IEEE RFID will not tolerate scholarly misconduct in any form. Cases of plagiarism and multiple submissions will be dealt with according to IEEE policies & procedures. See IEEE web page on Author Rights and Responsibilities for details.
